Annual Giving is St. Patrick’s yearly campaign to raise funds in support of the operating budget. Tuition income covers approximately 80% of the cost of a St. Patrick’s education.  The remainder is made up through tax-deductible gifts to Annual Giving and other charitable contributions.

Annual Giving donations support:

  • low student/teacher ratio
  • teacher salaries
  • ensuring small class sizes
  • specialty classes in art, music, physical education, and Spanish
  • professional development for faculty

“Pathway to our Future” Capital Campaign

In the fall of 2013, the St. Patrick’s School Board of Trustees kicked off a three-year capital campaign to better serve our students now and in the years to come. The capital campaign includes improving play spaces and paying off the debt associated with the building of Canterbury Hall in 2004-2005.  As of June 2014, we achieved 94% school family participation. We are grateful to our school families, alumni, faculty, staff, church community and the board of trustees for their generous support.

Why should we donate to the Annual Giving program?

Funds from Annual Giving bridge the gap between what tuition covers and the actual cost of educating each student.  This past year alone, donations to the Annual Giving helped pay for CPR and First Aid training and certification for all faculty and staff, basketball stanchion pads for the upper playground, chapel books, composting supplies for the first grade program, as well as other much needed items.  Furthermore, 100% of the Annual Giving contributions go directly to funding the operating expenses and all gifts are tax deductible.

When and how should we make our gift to The Annual Fund?

Our goal is 100% participation from our St. Patrick’s families. Your participation confirms to the community, foundations and other potential donors, the dedication of each family to provide a top tier education for their child. The Annual Giving campaign runs from October to May of each year. We hope you will consider making your gift earlier in the year to allow the school access to the funds. Gifts can be made by either returning your Annual Giving envelope to St.Patrick’s main office or by clicking on the Donate Now button.

What is the difference between Annual Giving and the Capital Campaign?

Annual Giving and the Capital Campaign support distinct but equally important funding purposes, both of which ensure the financial stability of St. Patrick’s Day School.  Simply stated:  Annual giving provides “money to live by” and the Capital Campaign provides “money to grow on.”  Annual Giving provides immediate budgetary support for all of our school’s needs throughout the year.  The Capital Campaign is an intensive, multi-year fundraising effort to provide physical improvements, construction, and a reduction in the school’s financial obligations.  The three goals for the Capital Campaign, “Pathway to our Future,” are to build a path from our campus to Old Meadows Park, renovate the path to the upper playground and pay off the remaining debt associated with the building of Canterbury Hall.

What is a Matching Gift and how do I know if my company matches?

Many companies have programs that will match the amount given to the St. Patrick’s Day School. This can make your gift go twice as far!  Check with your Human Resources Department or the corporate Giving Department to see if they might match your gift.  If your employer does not have a matching gift program but makes charitable donations, why not ask them to match your donation!
